The Staff and Governing Body operate a rolling programme of policy review. As policies are reviewed they will be uploaded to this page. If there is a particular policy you would like to view that does not appear on the website, please contact the secretary at St Keverne School on 01326 280539 or email email@example.com.
The staff and governors are committed to providing a challenging and stimulating curriculum within a happy and secure environment. It is broadly based in order to promote the moral, spiritual, physical, social and cultural development of the pupils so that they can positively contribute both to the school and the broader community.
The MAT schools follow the National Curriculum which covers English, Maths and Science, Computing, History, Geography, Art, Music, Physical Education (PE) and Design Technology. The Reception year follows the Early Years Foundation Stage. The schools also teach Religious Education (RE) following the Cornwall Locally Agreed Syllabus.
All children receive work which they are asked to take home, from Reception through to Year 6. Some aspects will require parental help, whilst some others should be completed by the pupil. Homework is felt to be an important aspect of school life, encouraging self-discipline, organisation, independent research and study and preparation of work in advance. We would ask that parents support us by giving the children whatever help is needed.
Our aim is to provide equal opportunities for all children and adults. We actively discourage stereotyped views based on race, gender or mental or physical disability and promote equal access to the curriculum for all. Policies for all of these areas are available on request.
The MAT schools aim to offer support to parents in providing a programme of sex and relationship education to the children. This is done in conjunction with the Health Authority.
In delivering sex education each school expects:
Before Sex and Relationships lessons take place, parents are informed and consulted. Parents have the right to withdraw their child from these lessons.
A copy of all policy documents, OFSTED Reports and further information about each school are all available on request from the secretary at St Keverne School on 01326 280539 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
